A three day meeting about taxonomy and phylogeny in the centre

A three day meeting about taxonomy, phylogeny, molecular epidemiology and diseases transmitted via rodents was held from 17th to 19th, May, 2016. Four members of national museum of natural history of Paris, members of Pasteur Institute of Iran (departments of epidemiology, parasitology, virology, microbiology, arbovirus and malaria), authorities of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, centre for disease management and medical universities of Tehran, Kerman, Lorestan and military university of medical sciences participated in the event in the research centre of emerging and re-emerging diseases of Pasteur Institute of Iran. In addition to lecture presentation in this educational course, the participants were familiarized with each other’s fields and prepared a proposal for common projects in future.

Moreover, the participants were shown the field and laboratory sampling methods and affairs related with rodents and the French team presented their comments to enhance field and laboratory sampling of rodents.
