Centre visit made by the deputy minister of health and the representatives of UN and WHO office in Iran
On the 25th, April, 2016, the research centre of emerging and re-emerging diseases of Pasteur Institute of Iran welcomed Dr. Sayyari, the deputy minister of health, Dr Ahmad Raeisi, the head of Malaria office in the ministry of health, Balasubramaniam Murali, the representative of UN in Iran, Dr. Taghizadeh, the representative of WHO in Iran, Dr. Amiri, the deputy vice chancellor of health affairs of Hamedan University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Bahrami, the head of the health system of Kabudrahang and other experts in related fields.
To start with, Dr. Ehsan Mostafavi, the head of the centre, declared a history of the centre followed by a report of the achievements and a presentation of the anticipated plans for the future of the centre. Then the guests visited different parts of the centre and had a detailed overview of the research, service providing and diagnostic activities of the centre.
Moreover, Dr. Sayyari emphasized on the continue of the activities of this centre and supports of the ministry of health and Pasteur Institute of Iran together with expressing his happiness due to the opportunity provided to visit the centre and terms of gratitude for all the completed activities. In this regard, Mr. Murali regarded this experience as an unforgettable one and declared his sincere terms of cooperation to develop the international activities. Dr. Taghizadeh, who was having his second visit to this centre, emphasized on the supports provided by WHO for international affairs. Dr. M. Fazelipour, the head of the international affairs of Pasteur Institute of Iran, also participated in this event and discussed the activities and internal and international interactions of this centre.
